PondCare Algae Destroyer
Pond Care Algae Destroyer controls the growth of many types of algae in fountains, koi, goldfish and garden ponds. Algae Destroyer should not be used in aquariums and ponds containing live plants (Use AlgaeFix in aquariums and ponds containing live plants). One fluid ounce of Pond Care Algae Destroyer liquid treats 60 U.S. gallons (227 L). Directions for Use: It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. For freshwater aquarium and ornamental pond use only. Do not add to ponds with outflow. Shake well. For use in aquariums with a maximum volume of up to 1,000 gallons (3780 L). Add 5 teaspoonfuls (25.0 ml) of Pond Care Algae Destroyer Liquid for every 50 U.S. gallons (189 L) of water. Distribute Pond Care Algae Destroyer Liquid evenly. This treatment is normally effective for several weeks. Repeat treatment when algae growth reappears. The best time to use Pond Care Algae Destroyer Liquid is when the water temperature is low (between April 1 and June 15). Higher temperatures cause rapid decay of weeds and algae, reducing the oxygen content of the water. If the water temperature exceeds 75ºF (24ºC), extra aeration is required to avoid fish stress. Compatibility: Pond Care Algae Destroyer can be used in ponds and freshwater aquariums containing fish. Do not use Algae Destroyer in ponds and aquariums containing live plants.
